• LESSON CANCELLATION:

If you need to cancel a lesson please call by 7:00 PM the night before your scheduled time to avoid being charged for the lesson.

If you do not have a standing appointment a $5.00 surcharge will be added to your per time lesson price.

GLEC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons in the event of dangerous weather such as, extreme heat or cold, tornado warning, etc. or instructor’s discretion. Instructor will notify students as early as possible if this occurs. If you are unsure, please contact your instructor.

Lessons will start promptly at the scheduled times. Students must arrive early enough (30min.) to prepare the horse for their scheduled lesson time. To keep on schedule, students who arrive late will ride until their scheduled time is over (i.e. if you are scheduled to ride from 8:30am-9am and do not mount the horse until 8:45, your ride will still be over at 9am). Please call in advance if you know you might be late, as we may be able to reschedule your lesson. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes past their lesson time forfeit their lesson and will be charged.

WARNING: Under the Michigan Equine Activity Liability Act, an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in an equine activity resulting from an inherent risk of that equine activity.

 BOARD OPTIONS:

See Sandy Hill price sheet

SH Board price sheet

SANDY HILL POLICY: As a training facility, board alone is not offered. Our philosophy supports a program designed for riders who want to broaden their knowledge and abilities. Even though competing is not mandatory, we require a minimum of one lesson per week or other training services equivalent to a minimum of four lessons per month. Accounts falling below the minimum will be charged a “Lesson/Service surcharge” equal to the difference.

THE GOLDEN RULE: Each horse boarded should be exercised a minimum of 4 days per week to keep him or her happy and healthy. Neglected horses will be cared for and the owner will be billed.
